CELEBRATING 10 YEARS OF AZIZI LIFE

In 2018 the Azizi Life staff and artisans celebrated 10 years of sharing the beauty of Rwanda with friends in the United States and around the globe!

We’ve accomplished a lot in 10 years:

  • 420+ artisan partners in 30+ associations & cooperatives
  • 50+ artisan households hosting guests for cultural experiences
  • 250+ literacy graduates & Bible recipients in 2017-2018
  • 3 social enterprises founded: Azizi Life Crafts, Azizi Life Experiences, & Beeutiful Creations
  • 2 not-for-profit organizations founded: Azizi Life US & Ubuzima Bwiza Iwacu/ Azizi Life Impact 
  • 1 bee keeping training apiary
  • 6 adult literacy learning centres
  • 3 boutiques in Rwanda
  • $370,000+ paid to artisans since 2008
  • $1,000,000+ in total economic impact in Rwanda since 2008
  • 52 full and part-time Azizi Life team members, led by a core leadership team of Rwandan women (This is a realization of our 10-year dream of local ownership!)

God has done all of this through willing individuals whom He has made able:
our locally-led team in Rwanda and a small group of volunteers in the US.

MULTIPLYING ARTISAN INCOME x10

We are now preparing to make a huge leap forward in the way that the US is able to serve Rwanda.

In honor of Azizi Life’s 10 year anniversary, we have set a goal to increase artisan income 10x by the end of 2022.

THE DREAM

Before we began working with the artisans, many were not even covering their basic needs like sufficient food, soap, and clothing.  In the past 10 years, the artisans and their families have seen many victories and improvements in their lives, but there are still more victories ahead, and more artisans with whom we can engage.

A 10x increase in income would make an amazing impact on the artisans, their families, and their communities.  First, our existing artisan partners would have consistent work. With income they can rely on, they would be able to plan and save for the future, improve their homes, and boost their secondary incomes.  Their children’s education and health would be even better-supported, and they would grow as leaders and contributors in their communities. Second, we would be able to expand our work into new artisan communities, partnering with them for positive change.

THE NEED

To reach this goal, the US Board has agreed to take a step of faith by partnering with a US Sales + Marketing expert, trusting that God will provide the sales, support, and connections needed to bring the desired income increase for the artisans.

We ask that you would consider contributing to the $50,000 needed to jumpstart this multiplication effort. We know that God will provide the funding and sales, and we want to invite you to be a part of the incredible growth over the next four years of Azizi Life’s operations!

Your investment will enable us to powerfully push toward our goal of 10x income increase for artisans by 2022.  Azizi Life needs assistance with simply getting this project up and going quickly without depleting the limited resources in the US.
