Hand Carved Wooden Spoons for the collection were born out of Macy’s memories in the kitchen – growing up cooking and baking with different women in her life, learning to make soup during the holidays, cakes and pies for birthdays, early morning coffee and many more.
Fun fact: Each spoon is named after an influential woman in her family!
Inspired by the natural beauty of neutrals and her favorite colors since childhood, Macy designed these wall hangings to tell a story. Each wall hanging features an intricate design that took a master weaver around one full week to create.
Universal trays are a design detail that go with almost any design style – from placing them in an entry way, to a coffee table, to holding personal items – Macy White Home Collection trays are stunning, practical additions to any home.
Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Macy White is an interior designer for a well-known design firm in Oklahoma City.
Macy’s natural love for design, coupled with her family’s encouragement, developed her into a passionate little girl… a little girl with a unique love for detail. That love for detail has only grown over the years while working with numerous clients, with various design styles. Today, Macy is honored to be working on many design projects and bringing design dreams to life.
About The Artisans
Designed For Impact
During the design process, Macy was able to hand her design to expert Rwandan artisans. With very few refining recommendations, they brought the collection to life.
For many mamas like Emmanuelia Muhawenimana of Abihuta Cooperative, motherhood and craft are tightly woven together. Each Macy White Home Collection wall hanging, like the one Emmanuelia created, is tagged with the artisan’s name. Beauty from her hands to yours, from her home to yours.
COASPINYU artisans Ibrahim Muhire and Moise Nimana with their Macy White Home Collection creations. Crafted from trees which re-grow after they are cut, these spoons spend hours in the hands of gifted men before they reach your hands and home.
Across the hills of Rwanda, groups of rural artisans are working to bring hope to their families through skillfully handcrafted goods. Azizi Life partners with over 30 independent groups- a total of over 500 artisan partners. Rising from the horrors of genocide, artisans from all backgrounds have joined together once again through their craft. Each artisan cooperative specializes in hand crafting products using specific techniques and raw materials. Azizi Life is honored to partner with these women and men, collaborating to connect makers, designers, and customers around the world.
