Prayer Update September 2018
‘Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.’
Psalm 150:1-6
RWANDA
- The rainy season has started and some people are still living in high risk zones, including some of our artisans. Please pray that they will find money to build their new houses on areas where they will have access to clean water, electricity, and that their lives will be safe.
AZIZI CRAFT
- A staff member at the boutique in Kigali has left to start her own business. Please pray that her business will be a success and that the replacement member of staff (Wilson) settles in well.
- One of our artisan hosts is very sick. Family members are not hopeful that she will get through it without God’s miraculous intervention. Please pray for peace, comfort, and the presence of God to be powerfully felt and known.
- This month, Azizi Life celebrates its 10-year Anniversary party! To celebrate this milestone, we are having a big party, with 500 guests expected. We want to cover the costs of food and refreshments, so please pray that we would be able to raise the necessary funds. If you can contribute, you can donate online here: https://www.azizilife.com/donations/10-year-anniversary-party/
AZIZI EXPERIENCES
- Please pray that the Studio continues to see many visitors pass through its doors, and that their events continue to be a hit as peak tourism season comes to an end and as the rainy season starts.
- We thank God for a significant number of guests doing Experience Days over the past few months and pray that more keep coming so that our artisans continue to receive income to help them in their daily life.
AZIZI IMPACT (UBI)
- There is an annual board meeting coming up this month. Please pray for wisdom as we meet to discuss progress and how to move things forward.
- Pray that the Financial Literacy training happening soon will be a success, and that it will make a positive difference to the lives of the artisans. Artisans groups are now being mobilized to create saving groups. Please pray that they will understand the importance of saving and the need to make it a regular practice.
BEEUTIFUL CREATIONS
- Our beekeepers will receive a ‘refresher’ training day this week to evaluate where they are with their beekeeping and work out how to improve their skills. We thank God that we have a hard working and motivated group of people who are willing to learn!
- Beeutiful Creations received their first large export order for candles, praise God! Please pray for the logistics of shipping, that everything goes smoothly, and also for the candle making group who will greatly benefit from this. This is a good opportunity for the group, but there’s a lot to do in a short space of time.
AZIZI US
- Our US board has decided to set a God-sized goal and take action to reach that goal. Our new goal is to multiply artisan income around 10 times by 2022. To accomplish this goal, we plan to raise $50,000 and hire a US Director to lead us forward. Please pray for the hiring process – we already had a wonderful candidate. We also praise God that we already have $24,000 in donations! Please help us pray for the remaining $26,000.
- Christi is planning her time in the US. Please ask God’s help in finding the most fruitful opportunities for Azizi Life sales, sharing and fundraising. She plans to be working in the Pacific Northwest for the month of November and in Pennsylvania in December.
