Description
All of our woven pots are created from dyed natural sisal fibers woven over a core of forest grasses. The weavers begin in the middle of a pot, carefully threading the sisal around and around to create this beautiful design. The tea color is created when the naturally-white sisal fibers are steeped in Rwandan-grown tea leaves!
Celebrate your love for people, resilience and beauty with our artisan-made
home décor and gifts. Azizi Life is committed to loving, fair trade, ethical
relationships. A portion of profit is donated to benefit our community impact projects.
The Handcrafted Details
- The Tea color of our woven pot is created when the naturally-white sisal fibers are steeped in Rwandan tea leaves.
- The sisal fibers are then woven around locally-gathered forest grasses until the twist pattern is formed.
- The flat lid makes the woven pot useful for storage, or even stacking.
- Each Woven Pot measures approximately 4 inches high and 7.5 inches wide.
- Care: Wipe with a damp cloth.
- Note: Azizi Life goods are crafted from natural and locally-available raw materials. As such, each product is unique and may vary slightly in size or shade of color. Woven products exposed to sun or water may fade or become more malleable with time.
- Ethically crafted by a person in rural Rwanda.
- Azizi Life is a member of the Fair Trade Federation and committed to fair trade principles.
- Every product supports our community impact projects.
- Also available in Rwanda at the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund.
